The Plants

Yaupon Holly (Dark Roast) - this is the only native North American plant that contains useful amounts of caffeine. It has a long history of being drank by the southern indigenous tribes Muscogee Creeks, Cherokees, Choctaws, Ais, Guale, Chickasaws, Chitimacha, and Timucua as well as early Texas settlers for this reason. The fellow Texas small business, Lost Pines Yaupon, supplies the hand-picked, hand-roasted leaves. The flavor of these roasted leaves is similar to dark Camellia sinensis tea but Yaupon lacks bitter tannins though the roasting process does create a few bitter but beneficial antioxidants!

Rosella Hibiscus - often used in traditional blood pressure blends, it stimulates production of nitric oxide, which relaxes and opens your blood vessels, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to your brain. Your brain needs a good breakfast as much as your body does! Of course, this plant is also loaded with protective antioxidants.

Cardamon - the unique flavor of this plant blends perfectly with the Yaupon and rosella, but that's not the only reason it's in this blend. Studies have shown it increases your metabolic rate, releasing more energy. Power at the cellular level!

Recommended Preparation

Steep 1 tbsp of Morning Power Tea in 8oz of hot (not boiling!) water for 5-10 minutes. Strain out the plant matter before drinking.
